Withania frutescens is a species of plant in the family Solanaceae. It is found in southern and eastern Spain (Andalusia, Murcia and Valencia), the Balearic Islands, Morocco and Algeria.
Description
It is a shrub that can reach up to three meters in height, although it usually reaches a meter and a half.
It flowers from May to June and loses its leaves in summer. The berries are greenish and measure between 7 and 8 mm in diameter.[1]
Taxonomy
Withania frutescens was described by Linnaeus Pauquy and published in De la Belladone . . . Paris 14, in 1825.[2]
