Introduction
Jewelry is a staple in many people's lives, whether it be a means of expression, a gift, or a piece passed down in one's family. When a piece of jewelry breaks, it can be an expensive fix, and if thrown away, can be damaging to the environment. To prevent either of these resolutions, follow this step-by-step guide on how to repair hook earrings if the hook becomes detached from the earring. You may also use this guide to replace the hook if the old one is bent or damaged. This type of earring is also referred to as a fish hook style earring.

To reassemble your earring properly, please complete these instructions in numerical order. Earrings can be extremely delicate, so make sure you are being gentle in each step. If you accidentally reattach the earring backwards, simply go back to step two and reopen the loop. If followed correctly, you will officially know how to reattach a hook to an earring!
